Habitat for Humanity
Making a Difference One Home At at Time

“At Habitat for Humanity, we build. We build because we believe everyone, everywhere should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. When a family helps build or improve a place they can call home, they are also building community, a better life for themselves.”

Until he became ill recently, Jimmy Carter would go to church on Sunday. On Monday, he would often pick up a hammer and go to a Habitat for Humanity work site. Two kinds of structures in God’s redemptive mission. Worship with the entire congregation on Sunday, but on Monday get with like-minded amateur builders with whom you can “go around doing good” (Acts 10:38).
